Marktetplace Revolution exists to gather, awaken, equip and empower Spirit-empowered followers of Jesus Christ in order to disciple every facet of the marketplace environment.  Through the Marketplace Revolution Network we partner with local congregations, as well as the larger Body of Christ in cities, and regions in order to work towards a flexible, sustainable, prayer based strategy for regional discipleship among marketplace professionals. (As outlined the Strategy section of this website)

We believe that the marketplace is one of the most untapped mission fields that the global Body of Christ must be equipped and empowered to disciple if we are to bring the nations into the fullness of the purposes of God.  Based on Peter’s writing in 1 Peter 2:9 it is evident that every born again believer is a priest of God. 

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.   (NASB)

 

• Do you believe that there are any people who are not full time ministers in Christ’s Church?

God’s Word teaches us that every born again believer is a minister no matter what field of labor they are in.  While there are levels of spiritual maturity (1 Cor. 3:1) and while there are those through their faithful lives who have been given a role of serving as overseers within the Church (Acts 14:23, Titus 1:5) we must never allow this to pull us away from the truth that every truly born again believer is a minister of the Gospel.

• Does the global Body of Christ recognize that the majority of the population spends the bulk of their time at their workplace?

Do we realize that The Church is the people who have a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ and not a specific type of religious building?  Do we realize that all Christ-followers have been called to be priests of God right where they live & work?

Can the Body of Christ afford to ignore the workplace?  Do we as the Church recognize the tremendous opportunity & responsibility that Jesus Christ has given to His followers to disciple the souls that He has placed in our workplace? If we fail to realize that the workplace is the one of the primary mission fields for the Body of Christ we miss the perspective God has for us to daily serve as His ambassadors to a lost and dying world.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us.  2 Corinthians 5:20 (NASB)

Consider these facts: In a recent survey, Americans were asked if they felt a need to experience spiritual growth; 78% said yes, up from 20% just 5 years earlier. – Gallup Poll

Nearly 50% said they have had an occasion to talk about their faith in the workplace in the past 24 hours. – Gallup Poll

Sales of Bibles, prayer books, inspirational volumes, books about philosophy and Eastern religions are growing faster than any other category.” – Book Industry Study Group

What if those in positions of influence in government, business, education, media & the arts used their influence for Jesus Christ?  What kind of impact would this begin to have on all facets of life in that society?  Could we see whole cities literally turned upside down by the Kingdom of God? (Acts 17:6)
