Why Every Believer Matters

The Great Commission was not given only to pastors, missionaries, or ministry professionals. Every follower of Jesus has been given a place in God’s mission.

Every believer has been uniquely created, gifted, and placed by God to represent Christ within their own sphere of influence. A teacher, business owner, parent, student, neighbor, retiree, or young person may each have a different assignment. But every believer can be used by God to make His love known and help others follow Jesus.

Our Conviction

We believe the Christian life cannot be lived through human effort alone. Jesus said that apart from Him we can do nothing.

The life God calls us to is a life where Jesus lives His life in and through us by the power of His Spirit. Equipping believers, therefore, is not simply about giving people more head knowledge, skills, or ministry tools.

It is about helping people know Jesus deeply, learn what it means to depend upon His Spirit, recognize the ways He has uniquely gifted and called them, and faithfully join Him in His mission.

From Knowing About Jesus to Living His Life

DNI develops discipleship resources and training that help believers move from simply knowing about Jesus to experiencing His life at work in and through them. We work with local churches and ministries to equip their members in understanding who they are in Christ, developing a lifestyle of deep dependence on the Holy Spirit, discovering their God-given gifts and calling, and learning to live as ambassadors of Christ wherever God has placed them.

This is not referring to a lifestyle of trying harder to be a more Godly person apart from God’s Spirit. This is a lifestyle that has learned that apart from Jesus we can do nothing, and that we are desperately in need of a deep and real dependency on God’s Spirit to live His Life in and through us. He is holy. We are not. Only as we trust His Life will we bear good fruit.

Components of our training have been endorsed by international leaders, translated into many languages, and are being used by pastors and ministry leaders in various nations to train hundreds of local congregations.

Believers experiencing healing and wholeness from past hurts as they choose to forgive and bless those who have offended them.
